OH the 80's!!!!!

So lately I have been thinking about the 80's. No this has nothing to do with Micheal Jackson passing away. Good music, good videos, but that is about it for me with him. What I have been thinking about is how the 80's really have some GREAT memories and a lot of original things that I know of.

Let us take a look back: (If I could put sound effects on here were would do a Wayne's World time warp sound)
There was a cartoon when I was a girl called Jem. The show is about music company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego, Jem, her band the Holograms, and their adventures. Sound familiar, yea sounds like the original Hannah Montana!!!! I did want to be Jem at a time, just so I could be a rock singer. But I changed my mind really quick because I never really like the color pink and that is about all she wore when she was the singer.

Next up on memory lane the GUMMI BEAR CARTOON!! Still to this day it is my favorite cartoon theme song EVER. Yes and I will put is on here for all to sing to:

Any time I would drink grape juice as a kid I would pretend it was gummiberry juice and start bouncing EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Folks this is only the start of my list down 80s memory lane. We still have to talk about HE-MAN and Care Bears and so much more. And who can forget all the GREAT Commercials during that time also. This blog is like a 80s cartoon or sitcom that always had that to be continued thing at the end and you JUST CAN'T wait for next Saturday. YES I AM HOT!

Okay so today in Lubbock it is suppose to be 102 degrees! WOW, that is a warm day folks. But nothing big, it could be worse like all our military folks over seas in that great big sand box where it can get up to 120 degrees during the day. So when I say I am HOT it really means I am just good lookin' folks!!!!

Not much is really going on here with this kiddo. Just counting the days down until I leave for Ireland!!!!!! If we count today it is 36 days until I hop on a plane. More to come on my excitement for this event.

BUT before the big trip to the motherland I first have my nephews and niece coming to town in two weeks. They are 6, 4, and 2 years old. AND SO MUCH FUN!!! And I get to be the crazy aunt and we go off and do crazy things together. Each one gets to spend the night with me and then we go get donuts in the morning. They each have a little bit of their aunt Manda in them. Mainly they all have the head injury problem. The most recent is my niece Kylie. Last week she walked in front of Jarrett her brother while he was swinging and got kicked in the face. She is okay, no big injuries but she did get a nice black eye. AND this picture makes me laugh each time I look at it because she looks so tough. I LOVE THESE KIDS and I can't wait for them to get here.
